Container storage units may appear to be simple and quick to set up.
The reality is that constructing one demands specialized expertise due to complex design requirements that are often involved.
In this particular project, we stacked two 20-foot shipping containers vertically thereby creating space for lower and upper storage sections.
Why is this Container Project Unique?
Well, simply because it is designed for the storage of highly sensitive material and equipment including medication and medical equipment, hospital staff gear and stationery, and cleaning agents
Interior: Painted white and equipped with five levels of metal shelving for organized storage of medications, medical equipment, stationery and other hospital supplies.
To ensure optimal conditions, the interior space of each unit is regulated by an LG air conditioning unit (12,000 BTU) with vents extending outdoors.
Exterior: Painted cobalt blue to complement the hospital’s color theme.
Each container features 4 meshed ventilation openings (1ft x 2ft).
A secure staircase provides access to the upper container.
A flat roof supported by ground-level beams covers the structure.
There’re gutters around the roof to guide rain water to a pipe draining to the ground.
This project was completed in 14 days at an estimated cost of Ksh 1,000,000.
