Working on this unique container office project was exciting, particularly because this was a return client who values our expertise and professionalism.
Following our successful 2022 office project, the client reached out, this time with a new project featuring a multi-story office complex at JKIA.
Two 40-foot containers were stacked vertically and divided into eight individual office spaces. The completed structure includes a roof, staircase, and a balcony secured with protective barriers.
Why is this Project Special?
We ensured easy access to all of the single office spaces by developing access staircases on one side of the structure.
The exterior ceiling of the flat roof is wood-covered to enhance insulation, aesthetics, and naturalize the exterior outlook.
The roof is guttered with pipes attached to guide rain water to the drainage system at the ground.
Foundation: Reinforced concrete pillars, six in total.
The Interior
The inside is made of ceramic tile flooring and gypsum boarded walls and ceilings.
Modern electrical systems support lighting and power for office equipment, including computers, refrigerators, and copiers.
High-efficiency LG air conditioning units are installed (up to 12,000 BTU) complete with exterior exhaust vents for optimized air circulation.
The Exterior
The building features dual staircases, one on either end, for convenient access to all offices.
The flat roof is insulated and aesthetically enhanced with wood cladding.
It is also fitted with a gutter system which directs rainwater to the ground.
Project Duration: 21 days
Project Estimated Cost: Kenya Shillings 2.4 million.
